Aim Core Services - Overview
Physical Therapy at AIM offers a full spectrum of services and techniques to treat acute, sub-acute and chronic stages of injury. Each session is spent exclusively with a Physical Therapist; the patient is never handed off to an aide or assistant. Our integrative approach to physical therapy not only addresses the individual's symptomatic “parts”, but also analyzes its relationship to the “whole”.
We utilize advanced “HANDS ON” techniques to establish correct posture and body mechanics followed by specific therapeutic exercises.
Soft Tissue Management
Soft tissue Management refers to tissues that connect, support, or surround other structures and organs of the body, not being bone. Soft tissue includes tendons, ligaments, fascia, fibrous tissues, fat, and synovial membranes and muscles, nerves and blood vessels. Interestingly…it has been expressed that the soft tissues of the human body are responsible for more pain, dysfunction and disability than all the other organs in the body, yet are often neglected in evaluation.
Whether your goal is health and fitness, to counteract soft tissue injuries and joint discomfort, or to condition for your work or sport, our individualized Movement Conditioning option is available. To describe what movement conditioning is, we must look at the definition of movement. Movement is a sequence of segments (think body parts) within a specific task. That task can be anything from stair climbing, getting out of bed, to playing professional athletics. No matter what level the task (movement) there is an efficient way to perform.
