As a practitioner of this system, I utilize the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine and refine my approach using modern sports medicine research. This allows a comprehensive approach to treating specific injuries, and a person as a whole, simultaneously.
This is vital because chronic injuries are affected by the overall health of the individual not just the bio-mechanics of the injury. My treatments are designed to restore function, reduce pain and inflammation, and improve your well being.
As a patient, you will be taken through orthopedic tests, manual muscle tests, and a static and dynamic postural exam in order to locate the root cause of the pain and inefficient movement patterns. These inefficient movement patterns are usually caused by muscle imbalances and the nervous system becoming more sensitive in order to protect the body. As a sports acupuncturist, I address these issues by using motor point needling which will ‘reset’ the muscle fibers leading to a balancing of the opposing muscle groups involved in the injury.
After this reset, I use many different manual therapy techniques and corrective exercises to increase the range of motion and the stability and mobility of the tissue/joint being treated. These manual techniques include myofascial release, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) stretches, Gua Sha (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Kinesio taping, cupping, neurodynamics, and compression.
Conditions treated include:
• Baker’s Cyst
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
• Cervical Radiculopathy
• Degenerative Disc/Joint Disease
• De Quervain’s Syndrome
• Facet Joint Syndrome
• Muscle Tension Headaches
• Neck Pain/ stiffness

• Low Back Pain
• Lumbar Radiculopathy (Sciatica)
• Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s elbow)
• Morton’s Neuroma
• Patellar Tracking Disorder

When I start treatment with a new patient, it is my ultimate goal to be able to educate and give the tools necessary for the better to manage their injury and overall health. I am always humbled and honored when I am given the opportunity to assist someone on their health journey. I am one of the lucky people who truly love what they do, am fascinated with the human body, and am constantly expanding my knowledge base and skill set to allow me to help as many people as possible.
